52,368 fans watched an exciting game at the ballpark. The Columbus Crowd
topped the Santa Fe Trailer Bitches by the slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.
Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings. Columbus won the
hard fought contest in the 11th inning. Garret Anderson drew a walk. Matt
Miller then picked Anderson off first base. J.D. Drew then drew a walk.
After an out was recorded, Khalil Greene came to the plate and laced a
one-base hit giving Columbus the victory and sending the 52,368 home-town
fans home happy. Columbus rapped out 9 hits for the afternoon.
The victory was credited to Brendan Donnelly(1-5) who went 2 innings, allowing
no runs. Miller(2-2) was hit with the loss in relief.
The Columbus ballclub's record now stands at 36-26. With the loss, Santa Fe
has a record of 5-5 lately, 41-21 overall.
